Homework is an important part of learning and mastering math concepts. Homework is assigned Monday through Thursday in order to reinforce concepts taught during class. Students receive credit for the assignment, provided they show their work, reasonable effort, and turn the assignment in on time.
Students are expected to complete assignments on time. In the event of an absence, it is the student’s responsibility to check with his/her class buddy for missed work and notes. If there are extenuating circumstances that caused the assignment to be late, parents should email me to make arrangements.
Tests/Quizzes will be announced at least two days in advance. Tests may be made up upon return from an excused absence.
The work habits grade reflects student’s effort in completing and turning in assignments.
I believe that with the right commitment, time, and effort, all students can learn.
“The function of education is to reach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character-that is the goal of true education.”
