Welcome to my homepage! I have been teaching World History and U.S. History in the CES Communications and Arts Magnet here at Le Conte since 2016. My love for public policy and politics was sparked in high school when I joined my local YMCA's Youth and Government delegation. I pursued my interests in government at the University of California, Davis where I received a Bachelors Degree in Political Science (emphasis on Congressional and Judicial politics). After college I worked as a legislative correspondent in the Washington DC office of Congressman Vic Fazio and the U.S. House of Representatives Democratic Caucus, specializing in trade and budget legislation, but also worked on housing, education, appropriations, judiciary, and defense issues. Upon leaving Congress, I worked as a commercial real estate analyst and managed local market research departments for some of Silicon Valley’s largest commercial real estate brokerage firms. After some years in the real estate industry, I decided to pursue my passion for civic education and returned to school to get a Masters Degree in Teaching and my teaching credential at the University of Southern California. In addition to teaching history, I teach 7th Grade Leadership, and I am also the adviser to the Le Conte Anime Club.
