Ancient Civilization (Period 4)

6^th Grade Ancient Civilization is a journey back through centuries to study historic events and cultures. This journey will help students understand modern society. We will also use a variety of supplementary materials and activities to enrich our journey through Mesopotamia, Egypt, China, India, Greece, Rome, Mesoamerican, and Andean.  Throughout this year, you will discover the people, events, and special accomplishments of each civilization and how they left their mark on a changing world. Planning, instruction, and lessons in this course are based on the California History-Social Science Content Standards and the Common Core State Standards.
